LACES

Is the wialkng cycle shoe okay for wialkng long distances? I like the idea of having a shoe for both bike and wialkng, but don't want a cycle shoe that isn't good enough for wialkng. The main reason why I'm interested in a cycle shoe is to have the velco bit that covers or takes away need for laces which are really dangerous in cycling. I know someone who knows someone who died on their bike because their laces got caught.
